Young Israel of Toco Hills Bar/Bat Mitzvah Commemorative Brick Program

At the Young Israel of Toco Hills, we are not just a shul; not just a place to pray, a place to learn, a place to be around friends, a place to engage in social action projects or a place to celebrate holidays and simchas. We are all of these things, but more than that, YITH is a second home to our families. Our children are literally growing up in the shul. A large portion of their Jewish education and the shaping of their Jewish identity happens at YITH. As we move into our new, permanent home, we hope you will join us in the opportunity to acknowledge and commemorate the growth of our youth and their legacy as they mature from children into young adults and beyond.

Through this program you can honor your beloved grandchildren or other relatives, even if they are far from bar/bat mitzvah age. By purchasing a brick now your loved one will have a reserved spot with whatever wording you choose from the day the new building is dedicated, to be replaced with a permanent brick during the year of their bar/bat mitzvah.

The 8x8 bricks around the patio in our new space will be engraved using laser technology for guaranteed durability. Contributions for this project are tax deductible and can be purchased for your loved ones as follows:

1st brick - $1,200

Each brick can be engraved with up to 6 lines of text, 20 characters per line. Hebrew is available for the 3rd and 4th lines of engraving only, if you so choose. If you would like Hebrew and you have a Hebrew keyboard you can type directly. If you would like writing in Hebrew and you do not have a Hebrew keyboard, please write the word HEBREW on that line and we will call you for the wording. Your brick can be engraved with any wording you would like, but here are some ideas:
