Shul Shiurim (Classes)
- SHABBAT
Each week, one hour before Mincha, Rabbi Don Seeman
gives a shiur on "Spirituality, Ethics and the Modern
Jew." The latest installment focuses on Maimonides'
Book of Knowledge. (Click here
for more details on this class.)
There are a number of resources you should consult for Rabbi
Seeman's class. These include an
on-line English translation of this work of Maimonides
and the Maimonides
Heritage Center. There is also a very worthwhile artilce
on the history of halakha you can access by clicking here.
The Bachurim give two shiurim, one in English in the
sanctuary and one in Hebrew in the Beit Midrash, fifteen
minutes after kiddush begins.

NIGHTS
One
hour after Shabbat, we welcome you to Parent/Child Learning.
This is a wonderful chance for you to learn Torah with your
child. If you would like help in getting started or would
like a teacher to learn with you and your child, please
contact Rabbi Seeman. Pizza is served after learning each
week.
- SUNDAYS
Rabbi Broyde gives a 15 minute class
every Sunday morning on
Jewish family law from the Shulchan Aruch.
It follows the 8:30 a.m. Shacharit
minyan.
Sunday evening Learning Circle (Chug) on the Warsaw Ghetto
writings of R. Kalonymos Shapira (Esh Kodesh). Speak to
Rabbi Seeman or Reuven Travis for details.
- MONDAYS
Rabbi Broyde gives a Gemara shiur on Monday nights at 9:00
p.m.
- TUESDAYS
Audrey Zemel gives a Biur Tefillah shiur
at 11 a.m. at the home of Caryn Oberman, 1331 Breezy Lane.
It provides an analysis of the laws and meaning behind the
Shemoneh Esreh.
- WEDNESDAYS
Rabbi Zemel gives a
women's Gemara shiur on Wednesday nights at 8:15 p.m.
Rabbi Chaim Lindenblatt gives a Gemara shiur on Brachot
from 8:30 - 9:30 p.m. It covers Rashi, Tosfot, Halacha,
and Hashkafa.
- DAF YOMI
The Daf Yomi class given by Elia
Fisher meets Shabbat at 9:15 a.m. (after the Hashkama
kiddush), Sunday at 9:30 a.m. (after Shacharit) and Mon.
- Thurs. at 8:00 p.m.
Torah
Study Programs for Adults and Children
The four members of the Atlanta Torah Mitzion program are
available for one-on-one chavruta learning with anyone
who is interested, in any area of study (chumash, mishnah,
talmud, halacha or Jewish thought) in either Hebrew or
English. If someone wishes to set up a chavruta
with one of the members, please contact Reuven Travis at
reuvent@bellsouth.net
Other times can be arranged as well, as can classes for larger
