Atlanta Torah Mitzion Kollel (ATM)

|
|
| The
Torah MiTzion Kollel program establishes
centers worldwide for the study of Torah. The program's
goal is a simple one: build the connection between
Torah study and Israel. These program centers are
run by young, recent graduates of Hesder Yeshivot,
where advanced Jewish study is combined with military
service in the Israeli army. Idealistic and dedicated,
these learned young men and women are carefully
selected and brought from Israel for a period of
one or two years to serve as role models of the
kipah seruga (knitted kippa) generation of
Religious Zionism. In words and deeds, they seek
to strike a balance between safra v'sayfa
(book and action) and midrash u'ma'aseh (study
and deed. |
|
|
|
Atlanta is proud to be the home to one of these
study centers. Since 1998, the Atlanta Torah
MiTzion Kollel has been instilling a sense of
Zionism and strengthening Jewish identity in the
Atlanta Jewish community.
Atlanta
Torah MiTzion is based at the Young Israel of Toco
Hills, but conducts programs at many off-site locations.
While the ATM program provides a modern Orthodox
model of religious Zionism, it serves Jews of all
backgrounds. Its program activities and learning
formats foster love for Israel and study of Torah
and include the following: Shabbat and festival
celebrations, classes and lectures, individual tutoring,
and community programming. Participating men, women
and children meet in synagogues, Jewish schools,
homes, and the workplace. There are no fees for
learning.

Your
studies with the ATM Kollel members can be in
English or Hebrew, at levels from the most basic
to intense Talmudic studies. Best of all, the
ATM members are more than happy to come to your
home for these learning sessions.
To arrange to study with one of the ATM Kollel,
please contact Rabbi Zev Farber at zevfarber@gmail.com or 404-693-4494.
